Since its founding, the Pennsylvania Jazz Alliance (PAJA) has been dedicated to cultivating a culturally rich and diverse audience while inspiring the next generation of musicians. Through seasonal workshops, master classes, and educational programs, PAJA has provided countless young musicians with the opportunity to learn, grow, and reach new heights in their craft.

Beyond education, PAJA has proudly brought world-renowned artists to local stages—offering communities rare access to performances they might not experience otherwise. Over the years, audiences have enjoyed unforgettable concerts from legendary musicians such as:

Clark Terry, Phil Woods, Randy Brecker, Mike Stern, Will Lee, Dave Liebman, Bob Dorough, Dave Samuels, George Young, Tierney Sutton, Vic Juris, The Yellowjackets, Spyro Gyra, Ilona Knopfler, The Scranton Jazz Festival Big Band, Steve Smith & Vital Information and many more.

Our history is built on a commitment to preserving and promoting jazz, blues, Latin, and world music—ensuring its impact continues to resonate throughout Pennsylvania.
